George Zoga is a Research Collaborator at Albanian Community Mental Health (ACMH), contributing to the organization's mission of building the evidence base for culturally grounded Albanian mental health care. He holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Developmental Psychology and Education from the University of Toronto.
His work examines how cultural norms, historical oppression, and intergenerational trauma influence mental health outcomes in Albanian communities across Albania, Kosovo, and Albanian communities abroad. He is a lead author on ACMH's narrative review of culture, history, and trauma in Albanian mental health.
George's work focuses on children's psychology, adult mental health with emphasis on structural violence, and culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care for underrepresented populations. He aspires to pursue clinical psychology with a focus on serving marginalized communities.
